Quaker Tapestry |

The Society of Friends might not like having its Kendal Meeting House called a museum and technically the exhibition centre is attached!
Sometimes it seems that an artefact such as a tapestry has to be old to be worth seeing but this tapestry was a 20th century creation, second half at that!
Nor can one talk of the high level of skill of those who made it, since it involved over 4000 people in 15 countries to create the 77 panels, each 635 by 533 mm.
The inspiration behind the design can only be applauded though.
[I'm not a Quaker but my auntie was and I'm proud that she had a small part in this.]
