Shaugh Bridge |

Shaugh Bridge [car park prone to burglary!] at Grid Ref: SX534636 is down a steep hill from Shaugh Prior. [accessible by bus from Plymouth. For many years it was a favourite outing from Plymouth on the old GWR rail branch line from Plymouth to Tavistock and Launceston. Almost immediately under the bridge ther is the junction of two rivers, the Cad and the Meavy to form the Plym. [The Cad is sometimes called the Plym to complicate matters a little]
All the valleys are steep sided and wooded and make fine walks. The Dewerstone Rock makes an excellent target.
