The Sgurr of Eigg is apparently the largest piece of exposed pitchstone in the UK. If that means as much to you as to me, I’ll simply say that it is a hill on the island below 1000 feet but with a distinctive shape that enables it to be recognised instantly from far away. Obviously the views from it are superb.
