Colorful but Poisonous Caterpillar's by eirekay

El Mirador Basin Preserve - Guatemala, Petén It wasn't just the snakes we had to be weary of! This is one of three species of caterpillars that we were told are poisonous. The markings are meant to look like eyes to scare off predators. The rule of thumb was "Red = Dead".
