Ladder Stairs up Temple V's by eirekay

Tikal - Guatemala, Petén The stairs up Temple V are so steep that out of the 8 people in our group, only 2 of us would take them on. They are more ladder like then stairs, but the view on top makes it worthwhile. And as bad as these are (Temple II's are steep too, but not quite as bad), the former staircase up Temple IV was worse. It has been rebuilt and is now much better. The Lost World Temple, the only other scalable structure in Tikal is now closed due to damage done by rains two years ago. When it reopens, it is a glorious spot for sunset!
