El Mirador Basin Preserve - Guatemala, Petén
Pieces of plaster from the carefully marked reservoir are bagged and tagged, awaiting cleaning and restoration. Inside the bags, each of the individual pieces has additional numbers on them. There are several projects underway at El Mirador but work can only be done once the rainy season starts and there is water to support the dig teams.
