The web I didn't walk into's by eirekay

Tikal - Guatemala, Petén Walking a nature trail on the edge of Tikal's ruins, we encountered a bunch of large spider webs. I was nominated "trail blazer" and took a couple of webs face first - one of the spider literally howled at me. This web, colored by pollen from trees overhead, I managed to see before taking it face first.

This is why I will never travel to the Amazon or anywhere else that has spider webs the size of my car. Will I be missing out on some things? Probably, but I'll never have a spider howl at me or attempt to give me mouth-to-mouth!
