when I travel I usually get the exit row or the first seat in the section past the 1st class area.. there is plenty of leg room there! Hell you can even sit on floor if you want. the only problem with that area though is you can't watch tv and you may be near little kids ... but all in all flights are only 9hrs max and if you can put up with a little noise it's great.. if your tired enough you will sleep. I also try to change my seat right when I book the ticket or at the gate, I find this much easier. only once in all my travels did I get a cramped inside seat beside an Irish Senior Lady who had an immense fondeness for red wine ..

Looks like the airlines are doing everything they can to encourage us to fly again.

"... two overseas heavyweights with trans-Atlantic flights are also running new campaigns. Lufthansa, ... and British Airways,... are promoting features like seats that recline entirely flat, preflight meals that allow passengers to go directly to sleep and high-speed Internet access in seats. "

The Best Way to Fly... If You're Dead!

"London, May 12. (GUARDIAN NEWS SERVICE):IT IS ALWAYS inconvenient when a passenger dies on an aeroplane - not leastfor the person sitting in the next seat. So Singapore Airlines hasattempted to take the trauma out of such tragedies by introducing a special cupboard to store any unexpected corpse."
