Queen Charlotte Islands - Canada, British Columbia
Then the picture changes. Light forest stands on the low dunes. A few windswept trees stick out.An eagle, white-headed, large, follows me powerfully, calmly, with sweeping wing beats. He crouches in front of me on one of those tall, bare trees and peers down at me, an odd feeling to be under that focused, observing gaze. I feel like an intruder. The eagle swings into the blue.
