Takab - Iran, Ostan-e Azarbayjan-e Sharqi In the times of the Sassanidian Persian Empire Tahkte Soliman was a spiritual centre of the Zoroastrian religion. Nature provided water and gas for the religious ceremonies, as they venerated earth, wind, water, and fire. Situated on a volcanic hill, surrounded by defense work of later periods it overlooks a wide and open landscape.
