Just before the historical dockyard, there were a number of bars based in wooden huts elevated on stilts. One of them called ‘Drop In’ was very friendly, but their open plan exposed customers to the bloody mosquitoes. But the place was amongst the best value pubs on the island. They had good selection of drinks, particularly whiskey. A triple shot of Glenlivet was only USD 4 in 2006.
