The surroundings of the Nelson's Dockyard are superb. The Victorian architecture is fantastic and the lush vegetation amongst the grand English buildings makes it a unique place. The outdoors here are magnificent. But the museum is well stocked and the permanent expositions include: Natural Environment, European Arrival, Development, People, Tools, Nelson, Heyday, Defence, Yard's Decline, Victorian Navy, Restoration, Sailing Ships Return, and Models.
