The Sukhothai Traimit Golden Buddha is the largest golden buddha image in the world. It is 15' 9''from the base to the crown, has adiameter of 12' 5'' and weighs 5 tons. The buddha, which was originally in the Chotinaram temple, is over 700 years old and was originally covered in plaster to conceal it from invaders.
