Het Prinsenhof

Het Prinsenhof is a Gothic building and once the place where William of Orange, also known as William the Silent lived. A fanatic French catholic, hired by Philips II of Spain assassinated him in his own house in 1584. The bullet holes in the wall under the staircase indicate the exact spot.

Today it houses Delft's historical museum. Leaded windows and crooked tiled floors are the pervect backdrop for an interesting collection of Delftware, silverware, tapestries and portaits of the Dutcg Royal Famuly
