Madurodam is a miniature city built on a scale of 1:25. All major Dutch sights and buildings are represented. The Peace Palace of The Hague, Amsterdam canals, windmills, bulb fields, working trains, trams, draw bridges and fun fairs, and lots of cows in the polders. It was opened in 1952 and is in memeory of George Maduro who died at dachau concentration camp in 1945. All profits go the children's charities.
