photobank update: 1st pic about Gagauzia on Globo!'s by plancarpin

Comrat - Moldova Gagauzia is an autonomous republic of Moldova, split in 3 parts, in the south of the country. The Gagauz people speaks a turkic dialect and changed its faith from islam to christianism (orthodox) at the end of the 18th century. The population is roughly 150.000. Comrat, the capital city, is 40.000. This is not expected to be a fashion touristic spot in the near future... not much to see, but I was glad to be there! on the pic, one can see the goverment house, wearing the 2 flags (moldovan and gagauz). The house is flanked by a huge Lenin granite statue.

"I grow up with him". pictures were all around in East Germany. But I truely like this art works. there is a kind of statue park in Budapest... remember "Golden Eye - James Bond" a part was made is such a "park"
