I fully agree with you, but there is also land claims from the African community on that land and the owner declared himself willing to sell the land to the government(state) on condition that the tree be declared as a National Heritage in order to prevent it from dissappearing as fire wood. But anyway thank you for the comments and make a point of it to visit SA before the tree dissappear and most probably you will enjoy a very cold beer in that bar.

You're right I really enjoyed my stay there even though it was only for two days but I had a great time. And I sure will be back one day and then I can try the scenic cruise, thanks for the hint.
