Koh Samui - Island of Coconuts

Posted: 2004-10-19 09:45 PM
Hi Ravi,

Koh Samui off the coast of Thailand was until 20 years ago famous for just one thing - COCONUTS! Then the travellers arrived and the tourists then the property developers and hoteliers. So it was good to go in search of the islands real origins.....and I found it. It was fascinating spending time with these lovely local hardworking people who smile through all their adversity and poverty. So yes I intend to write an article on Samui and how it survives away from the tourist industry.

Hope you are keeping well and happy and are motivated to write more yourself.

Cheers,

Brit

Hey Ravi, nice to hear from you. Things are going well. Thanks for your comments about my pictures - much appreciated.

I also read and rated your report on India. It was interesting and it gave me a good insight to that area. You should write one on your home town.

Take care, Misty

Thank you very much for watching loving and rating my pics. But I think they are still pictures and not small fast moving animals (mice) .... hehehe
foreign languages can be very funny sometimes... ;-)
I'm not a native englisch speaker myself so I know what im talking about! LOL (easy to find a lot of spelling mistakes in my posts....)

Anyway if you go to my album and sort the pictures by date posted you got all my latest pics from Nepal if you want to look at them all. I will be putting them in a slide show next month after having uploaded everyone of them.

Have a nice day! And a lot of laughs!

Self Photo Suggestion

Posted: 2004-10-17 02:05 PM
Hello Ravi! Good to hear from you!

Thanks for signing my guestbook and I'm glad that you liked the Berlin Slide show. I actually had a few photographs of myself in the slide show but remembered that photos with ourselves in it are not very welcome in the gallery and the slide shows. You know how the standards are on GLOBO. I leave my photos in the Travel log, that way no one can complain about its quality. Anyway thanks for checking out my page and giving me the suggestion, I really appreciate it.

Take care ravi.

Regards.

Pictures of Bhakatpur

Hi Ravi

Thank you for your praise....
Bhaktapur is heavyly renovated due to German funding, it's truly beautiful, did you know that parts of the film 'seven years in tibet' were shot there?
Would you mind to go back and give them a rating?
