Hi Boris,

Thank you so much for reading my Honolulu report and rating it so highly! I love the Hawaiian Islands, Kauai is wonderful, Maui too. I have never been to the Big Island itself though. Oahu remains my favourite because I have so many happy memories over the years of times spent in Honolulu.
I think my favourite islands in the world, that I have visited, are Samoa (used to be Western Samoa), Moorea, Palawan (Philippines) and Koh Samui (Thailand). Usually the words paradise and spectacular when used to describe an island can be substituted for expensive and exclusive. So it is most refreshing to find that Koh Samui is a paradise and remains in parts most exclusive whilst being one of the cheapest and most beautiful places on earth.

Thank you for the welcome! I lived in Pasadena, California from 1976 until last year, saw most Roseparades close-up from the bleachers...

My Dad was from the Ukraine, I grew up in Germany with kids named Boris, Nina, Ludmilla... As a kid I knew just a little bit of Russian but forgot it all.
