It is always very fine to see some words from you on my guest book. I cant help myself commenting on your pictures since they are really different from the other globo members' pictures. Please keep on shooting :)

Your comment on my photo "Inside a beehive house"

Hi Hugh,
thank you for your comment. These people were so relaxed and friendly, it was such a relaxation, coming from Europe with all its disssatisfaction, to listen to the stories about their simple life.

In good company

Hugh,
If it helps at all, you are in good company - I have a report that was at #1 for quite some time with almost straight fives and has now suffered a 3 point mark. I have actually experienced the phantom a couple of times over the years, as has Jorge. I wish people would have the courage of their convictions and openly give their marks with comments.
Either way, I am sorry the phantom has struck you - this is beautiful photo and well deserving of the ***** it has garnered.

rocks
Posted: 2006-12-22 11:37 AM
these rocks are all natural and they shine a bit pink, thats why this region is called 'cote de granit rose'.
its my prefered area of bretagne because of wilderness landscape and less tourism.
fort la latte was first named in 13th century and was built with this local granite but its not a 'pink fortress', i dont know why.
hope it helps, greetings.

Celtic Origins!
Posted: 2006-12-16 09:55 PM
Hi Hugh,
... the stone was found when clearing a brook at Jechling just opposite to Höglworth from Anger and about 3km east of Anger. It got there via glaciers they say. I always thought that everything Celtic in Europe was west of London and now discover it was a VAST empire before the Roman one!

Claims that Hallstatt (only 60kms SE of Anger) was the birthsite of the Celtic folk?
