Thank you, Jorge

Hi Jorge,
thank you for the compliment, it warms my heart. Yes, as Wojtekd says, the traveller's fever and my itchy feet drive me around the world. Beautiful, but sometimes claustrophobic Germany I have to leave from time to time to get another view on my own country and to become modest again.
Take care.

Hello Jorge!

I am so sorry to hear that you did not manage to cross! This is so disappointing, I am sure. I know that my friends, about a year-and-half ago crossed from Morocco, Western Sahara, Mauritania to Senegal on their bikes and they had no problems at all. From Senegal, it would have been very easy for you to pass to Mali. This is a real pity. I hope you will think of another route!
If you can find a cheap fare to Iran, I would recommend that. It is really cheap to travel there. And so it Uzbekistan, and both are safe.
Kindest regards
Krys

Friendship request

Hi Jorge,
thank you for adding me to list of friends. -
I remember Sitka well. I went to Alaska only to see Mt. McKinley, the beautiful one. Returning to Vancouver I also chose the Inside Passage. At that time going by ship was a affair of leisure. I'll never forget that first trip. Later I came back to visit the Queen Charlotte Islands and that was a quite different trip. The landscape had changed so much and the ship was in a hurry.

Hi:
Xie xie, you are the only one here that I can speak Chinese Pinyin. Thank you so much for your congratuations. What I could say is that without your support and encouragement all the times, I do not think I can do that.
Life is becoming quite busy but more interesting since I joined this community. I like to share all the things I found useful with everybody here. That's what I can only do for all the friends here.
How about your life? Are you still looking for a job?
Just would like to give you my best wishes for the Christmas. All the best.
Best regards
Yuliang

Exciting places
Posted: 2008-12-09 08:27 PM
Jorge,
Thanks for reading my report on Miami, it really is an anomally, but I suppose most people go there to actually go somewhere else - on a cruise or to the Florida Keys. But as a getaway from Trinidad it is the perfect distance at the price.
I love your profile picture, you are always at some exciting locations.
All the best

Hi Jorge,
sorry to raise your hopes and then disappoint you! ;-)
What is Valladolid in Spain like? Is it worth a visit?
Anyway, I'm glad you liked my report on the 'other' Valladolid, I had fun writing it.
All the best for your travels in Timbuktu

Jorge, my Friend...

So you are on the trail again... I know well what is traveller's fever. I suffer the same, but I have to wait until January... Good luck my Friend! In Timbuktu give my regards to enterpising Ali-Baba. He was a teenager when I was there in 2000, I am sure he is still in tourist business.
Dont forget about Lena river meeting in August.
