Jorge,
Stay warm & be safe. I am off, but only for a week, to Mexico - Puerto Vallarta - to scuba with Dolphin and lay on the beach!

Hearty congratulations on your award as member of the month. It is a well deserved one, please keep it up.
I just read your Helgoland report, and I would say excellence in writing is your routine.

St Pierre and Uzbekistan...
Posted: 2005-07-24 09:16 PM
Hello Jorge
Thanks for the advice... I think I'll fly Franfurt to Halifax by Condor. From time to time they have flights for 99 euro one-way (did you see condor.com?) plus Air Saint Pierre. Is Miguelon worth return flight from Saint Pierre?
I have been also to Uzbekistan in the past and ejoying old architecture. I know Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva... I need Uzbek visa rather to wait there for Turkmenistan 5-day transit visa (they say - 10 days). Tashkent is probably the easiest place to obtain it... Of course it will be nice to see Uzbek monuments again...
Greetings from Wojtkówka where
I harvest sweet cherries right now

Hello Jorge
Thank you for your UZ info and contact.
I'll try to use it...
By the way: at the moment I am fighting
for the Oceanvide Exp discount on
Ushuaia to Falklands to Atlantic Islands sail.
Your info on flights helped me to take proper decision...
Greetings

Vicarious Pleasures
Posted: 2005-07-16 12:15 PM
Hola Jorge,
I think I have taken to living vicariously through your reports! You do the things I can only dream of. My adventures are short (too many responsibilities) and limited to places I can pursuade a child or two to tag along. Last month I watched the sunrise from the top of a 22 story pyramid in Guatemala with my son (18). A couple of days later we pet nurse sharks 70 feet down. Moments like that will be my apex.
Your last report has inspired me to write something on San Francisco. There are so many places surrounding the city that get missed!
Have a wonderful (and safe) journey! I will look forward to reading about it!
