It is not the magnitude of our actions but the amount of love that is put into them that matters.

Baltimore
Posted: 2005-11-15 09:46 PM
Akhila, I was delighted when I saw some of your Baltimore pictures posted! I think the Inner Harbour area is the prettiest part of Baltimore! I didn't do the Ducks there but I have done the DC Ducks in Washington and that was a great tour! Lots of fun!
I am glad you had a terrific time! I bet it was wonderful to come back home to daughter and husband! Absence makes the heart grow fonder, as they say! I always miss my children when I am gone!

Thank you for your very kind message.
Your Gateway Arch picture gives me great pleasure.
I cannot remember the date when this was built (maybe in the 1960s but I remember the news of the design and the fact that it was and is a wonder. The form I seem to remember is a catenary - (the form a chain assumes when hanging with the ends supported from two level points) - inverted and therefore transferring the weight of the arch very effectively to the two foundations.
Globosapiens is indeed a wonderful system linking so many different people around our third rock from the sun.
I wish you great success in all you do

Thank you!
I checked you Khajuraho picture and I was a little disapointed. I expected Kama Sutra scenes!
(haha, just joking)

'imported rock'
Posted: 2005-11-06 05:35 AM
Hi Akhila
Thanks for your comments on my reports.
I used inverted commas around imported because it was not brought from outside of Peru. I'm afraid I don't know where it came from but the term is meant to distinguish it from the natural outcrop.
As it's an Inca site, it is presumably not later than the 16th century and is unlikely to be before the 15th.
Cheers, David

Akhila,
The butterfly brought me good luck! I was just stunned to have received MoM!
