...Pisa is one of the most famous towers in the world - yes, we would surely include that. We would not consider all high modern buildings, just the high slender one's. I too was on the Empire State Building - see my travellog (blog) entry for 1995-03-30

In 1998 on business the two days were extremly busy, we had a choice of ONE of two sites; WTC or helicopter ride. What we didn't choose can never be experienced again but the new tower there will be the my first stop when I visit NY again in a few years.

Sorry, get mixed up mostly. Ethan, like the actor Ethan Hawk, I'll remember now.

I update the THEMEs only occassionaly & one after the other as needed so please post your new list of found pics in the relavant forum thread, so that they do not get lost. Also, other members can start looking at them & perhaps comment.

I love those pictures of long roads disappearing over the horizon or where ever too. James "jwmarkham" has just uploaded another one. Sadly there are only about 10 I have seen at GLOBO. Anyway we should note them, once we get 30 good examples together we can start a theme for that around 2008?

Oh! When you find pictures, do rate them as well. There is one pic in your Eiffel/PT list where I seem to be the only member that ever rated. Also we want good to perfect photography in our collections. If you find a picture fuzzy or dull, rather NOT include it.

Will you start a "THEME: towers" or any other? Isabelle did with trains, will help!

I'm pleased that you found my sunset picture worth to vote such high. :-) Yes, you have those sunsets nearly every day in the Caribbean and it has been really good luck that we anchored right between the sun and that ship.

You have done some good work for GLOBO I see! I like the idea of having a "THEME: time" section in the forum, that is a brilliant and challenging choice of theme. I find the Eiffel Tower a very boring subject and almost get put off GLOBO when seeing another picture of it uploaded again and again but we can incorporate some of it's pictures into the "THEME: towers" which ill put up today. RR

Those are wonderful new categories quite similar to mine! Can you find 30 best GLOBO pictures for them? Please help!
1. mountains [was a succesfull competition last year]
2. temples/shrines [too religious and too political]
3. skyscrapers - "THEME: towers" is comming up now!
4. roads/alleys - too general, see my/all albums.....
5. castles - too general see my album/all albums ...
6. sunsets/sunrises - too general, everyone has their favorit, the sun/sun-light is the most welcommed object ever and everywhere you know.....!

Up-and-comming soon collections are more specific: waterfalls, trains, towers, flags, doors, windows and much specific more as I collect them over years .....

Thanks for your suggestion - will do eventually! Thanks to you, I now think collecting the best rated winter, spring, summer and autumn pictures that GLOBO offers would make excellent collections, eventually slideshows or screensavers. For each season there are thousands! Please help? Can You? I will help. Till now I chose very specific themes of travel that gave a result of 20-200 pictures. Only a few member bother about contributing but they seem to like it and with every responce i'm very motivated to expand this idea!

i like your way of expression on this site. you are quite like fresh blood but take little bit care of your rating method. not each pic out of your taste is a bad pic. please be fair and sometimes its better not to rate and see the pic twice ... but stay on !
