Once again I find myself in Bangkok. I guess it boils down to the fact that Bangkok is central base for travel in SE Asia and relatively cheap to get to. I have been 3 previous times and enjoy myself greatly on every occasion. It is an easy place for a solo female traveler to navigate and explore. Since I have seen all the basic Bangkok sites on previous trips I did some exploring. Did a lot of walking! Hit the ChaChauk sp? weekend market again. Exit the skytrain at MoChit station for the market. Spent two days exploring the river areas and warehouses. I found it easy to just enter a warehouse along the river and walk around with no one saying anything. I traveled from one to another and eventually found myself directly across from Wat Arun. Great photo opp. Found some interesting herb shops along the way. I hit the Ambassador Hotel for lunch one day. I remembered that they have an excellent lunch buffet for $6 US. So much variety and even sushi. Great deal if you are hungry.

Forensic Museum in Bangkok is great. Not for the faint hearted. Just walking the riverfront in and out of alleys. Hiring a boat for a relaxing trip on the river. Of course, the weekend market. $6 all you can eat at the Ambassador Hotel for lunch.
