Benarrabá is the village we searched Andalucia to find.
We moved here in May 2004 from Ramsgate, Kent.
We are so lucky to live here.
The village is wonderful.

Benarrabá Andalucia Spain
|
|
Set in the Genal Valley in the Serrania de Ronda, Benarrabá is a tranquil pueblo with a population of 650 people. It has tapas Bars, two restaurants, a health centre, pharmacy, bank and a number of small shops. Our new home is the highest house at the edge of the village, it has stunning views over the village and the valley. You can see the Sierra de las Nieves and the Sierra Bermeja.

Rio Genal with Sierra Crestillina in backgound
|
|
The Rio Genal runs along the valley floor. It is a beautiful one hour walk to sit on the banks of the purest river in Europe. Kingfisher and Herons are frequent visitors as well as myself, my wife and our three Border Collie dogs.

What's really great: |
The setting is incredible. This is a magical hidden valley. The sides are too steep for machinery so it is unspoiled. There is no industry except for organic agriculture, so the diversity of nature is incredible. A place you must visit. I'm addicted to Andalucia so I loved this. How do you get tere by public transport?
My addiction doesn't lead to automatic 5* though - rather the reverse as i always want the reports to live up to the place. Therefore my rating says a lot! |
