Beautiful land, but cold and rainy...If you love the out-of-doors, cold weather, and mountains, this is the place for you! Also, if you enjoy a dose of rich, thorough history, especially in regards to the Viking-era, Bergen is full of it!

Favourite spots: |
Anywhere near the port. There are many restaurants and pubs there and it's a good place to just sit and watch the movement. During the day there's an open market and in the evening there is sometimes people out entertaining trying to make a few crowns...

What's really great: |
The breath-taking scenery and cleanliness! I also really enjoyed the history and how well-perserved it is, as well as how proud the Norwegians are!
|
|

The old section of town, with historic buildings and museums. Also, there's a leporsy museum near the university.
