I was born and raised in Daytona Beach, FL. I no longer live there but I can tell you everything and anything about the city. It can get very crowded during Spring Break, Race Week, Bike Week etc.

Favourite spots: |
Fav Spots? Well I live there 20 years so many places I got tired of. Most of the places I loved are now gone. Bars come and go pretty quick. Barberella's was cool they are gone. Java Lava... gone. Razzles is a skank ho market but is still there and probably always will be.

What's really great: |
Special about Daytona? Well it is cool that you can drive on the beach but it cost money.

Sights: |
Broadwalk is a sight for sore eyes it is run down. Race Track, Main Street is cool especially during Bike Week.

Accommodations: |
I sometimes stay when I visit my family at the Sleep Inn in Ormond Beach. They have a free contintal breakfast in the morning.
Nightlife: |
There are lots of clubs, 600 North, Razzles, RiverDeck,

Hangouts: |
Robbie O' Connelly's is a great hole in the wall. Bernkastel's has a good selection of beer and is located on the beach underneath the Adam's Mark Hotel

I too, grew up in Daytona Beach, but I can't say that I would want to live there now. My father helped build the Daytona International Speedway, back in the days when it didn't cost anything to drive on the beach and the traffic wasn't horrendous from the races. Ormond Beach is still nice. |
