A quaint village in the Cote-de-Azure region of France, an easy bus ride from either Nice or Monte-Carlo, offering great views and a beautiful exotique gardin.
Instead of taking the train between Nice and Monte-Carlo, take the bus via Eze for a visit to the lovely village of Eze. After an hour or two, you can then continue on your journey, as you will probably have exhausted the tourist opportunities of the village within that time frame. Situated on the top of a hill overlooking the mediterrainian, is the old village of Eze, which (lets face it) is very touristy now, but retains its charm and has some lovely tiny little twisting streets, spotted with cafes, stores and a rather nice old church. The Exotique Jardin at the top of the hill is definately worth the small entry price.

Favourite spots: |
The Exotique Jardin (or more simply, the exotique garden) is right on the top of the hill, and has an absolutely fantastic range of succulents and cacti from around the world. The garden also has a range of sculptures throughout, which add to the charm of the vista. There is an area at the top which is a great photo spot and offers a good view of the local hills and ocean. Lower down, there is a pond with some deck chairs, incase you need a bit of a rest after all that hill climbing!

What's really great: |
The quietness and beauty of the gardins was a definate favourite, and it was delightful to get a glimpse of what an old fortified french village might have looked like.
Sights: |
Fortified old french village, church and exotique garden.
Accommodations: |
Looked pretty expensive, so unless you have your Ferrari with you, stay in one of the main towns instead.

This could be an interesting report. It is a nice beginning. Ratings can be higher by adding some descriptive photographs. Marianne has some wonderful ideas about improving the writing of reports in the Forum section. Good luck in the future, and thanks for this initial report.
