I was there teaching a class for 3 days. It was tough to concentrate after the prayers broadcast on the PA system wake you every morning. the country spans two continents and all the taxi drivers want you to pay them to take you to asia while you're in Europe....it's not that big a deal unless you're into bagging continents

Favourite spots: |
The grand bazar - isn't it everyone's? Also the Blue Mosque. If you're appropriately dressed, and not there during prayer they will let you in. Also the Aya Sophia, the Basilica

What's really great: |
It is an easy city to get around, but be careful as an American woman traveling alone. We got better service wearing a skirt and flats rather than sneakers and jeans....they thought we were European

Sights: |
Spice Bazzar is enticing
Accommodations: |

Nightlife: |
