What lies beyond the green rolling hills of the North Island is something that will forever keep me amazed. And so here I am writing the adventure down
|
After driving for a hundred or more so kilometres in the Northern part of the South Island, I’m finally back in the cityscapes of Auckland.
I’ve decided to practice my travel writing skills with this episode of my Backpacking adventures. Sharing rooms with different travellers from around the globe, German, Scandinavian, British, Dutch, chatting with an old chap Bill from Scotland, strolling the beach with Emmy & Yvonne while the sunset of Kaikoura settled its last rays on the grandeur of the Southern Alps, understanding the desolate dunes of the Spit with Chris, shivering, alone and scared in a tent amidst the storm that ravaged the Abel Tasman, talking about stuff under the Takaka Stars with Jackie …this trip has shed a new light to me and definitely reinforced my persona and my beliefs. I am a free spirit, a soul that cannot yet be fastened ….cannot be confined……yet to be wild and ransacked with what life has to offer.
And so I begin this tale with a Prologue. The rest… still to be finished in the days to come.
