Kolobrzeg has a very large, nice beach for starters, an impressive 13th century church, good hotels, restaurants, & all you need for a pleasant beach holiday with many tourists from Germany & Scandinavia.
|
The beach here is wide & long, especially catering to families. A lot of the city was destroyed in WWII, but thankfully the 13th century cathedral was spared & is very impressive. The main attraction is the beach. There is a good selection of hotels & restaurants. If you like to take long walks down a white sandy beach, this is the place! The town has done a nice job of fixing up the parks & downtown streets to make it a pleasant tourist city for a summer vacation.

Favourite spots: |
The beach is the main attraction here being long & wide enough one does not feel crowded even by the main harbor entrance & pier.
|
|
What's really great: |
You can go to the beach & just keep walking for miles all the way West to
Dzwirzyno and the German border or East to Ustronie Morskie and then some.

Accommodations: |
We stayed at the New SkanPole Hotel & enjoyed it very much. Built in the 70's, it has been well maintained. Unlike new hotels, you can open your window & let the sea breeze in. Yes the bathrooms don't have the long shelf space of modern hotels, but overall this a a nice hotel to enjoy the beach & attractions of the town that are all within a short walk.
