...and it's where I am right now! Los Angeles is an huge, exciting place that I'm just beginning to know. I'm looking forward to sharing my experience with you-I'll see LOTS before I leave in August!

Los Angeles is the USA's second largest city, and it is HUGE!!! It's right on the Pacific Ocean, with all the beaches you'll ever want. Of course, you'll also find all sorts of movie studios. The weather is almost always warm, though watch out for the winter rainy season-lots of rain can cause mudslides. And, yes, it gets the occasional earthquake. Still, it's LA-you'll love it!

Favourite spots:
Check out Hollywood Boulevard and don't forget to look down for the Walk of Fame. While you're there, stop by Grauman's Chinese Theater & look for your favorite star's handprint. Then go down the Sunset Strip to Beverly Hills, with the beautiful people and their beautiful cars. And definitely head for the beach-I enjoyed Hermosa Beach.

What's really great:
Just getting out of the New York summer-that right there is worth it!

Sights:
A real thrill is seeing the Hollywood sign for the first time. My first sighting was from behind the Kodak Theater, on Hollywood Boulevard-really cool!

Other recommendations:
Really, just driving around, especially on Sunset Boulevard, Rodeo Drive, and the freeways (including getting stuck in traffic). That's the real LA vibe.

S, I agree - LA is, well, LA - there is nothing else like it! Would love to see an explanded description of Sunset Blvd., Rodeo Drive, and maybe add Mulrose which has really changed over recent years! While you are there, try to eat at the Brown Derby, just for the experience!
