I've been in Madrid for twentyfour intense winter hours, hence the lack of good info. But it's a beautiful city with a old times atmosphere, which I'm going back to at some point.

Favourite spots: |
Prado museum, and surrounding streets. Some market besides a church inside a wall...sorry I can't be more descriptive, I have no idea where I was at the time.
What's really great: |
Being there in winter. Hardly saw tourists around, even when going to super touristy places like the royal castle. And air was crisp and cold and suited the city well.
Sights: |
Prado museum, royal castle (great for comparing with the Norwegian one, except for that not very essential).
Restaurants: |
I don't know where, but the paella was excellent.

Hi Stine, just read your writing about Madrid (Felt like an old city). What month of the year were you there? I am going for the month of November and I wonder if it will be relaly cold. What do you think?
