I visit Dalmatia (Croatia) city name Makarska in and have great time. The city, what to say, it is beautiful. It lies in bottom of Biokovo hill. Beaches are mostly sand and small stone. The water is extremely clear, clean and cold because the Adriatic see is very deep in that part. I also suggest a day walking trips to Biokovo, where you can enjoy magnificent view over other Island and find old small stone villages. Croatia coast is graeat, whit nice people.

The geographical position of Makarska is perfect if you want to make a day excursion to Split, Dubrovnik, Medjugorje or to the nearby islands of Brac, Hvar or Korcula. An extraordinary blend of Mediterranean and Oriental culture can be felt in Mostar. The heritage typical of the Dalmatian hinterland can be explored in Imotski, situated above two lakes.

Nightlife: |
Two places which you sholud visit are clubs Grotta and Deep . Both are located in unique ambieance of two old caves and offers you extravagancy of its natural interior. Resident DJ´s, all sorts of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks is the prior condition for an excellent nights amusment. First one is on St. Peter peninsula and the other one is on Osejava, just across the city bay. On the beach there are several beach-bars, such as , Oz and many others. Where you can enjoy in good music mixed with sound of waves. Enjoy music and great offer of drinks and cocktails.

Restaurants: |
Restairants is nice wih special menu of Dalmatinien kitchen. Not so expensive.

Other recommendations: |
Fishermen´s Night During this night all around the city, there is music and pleasant smell of grilled fish and other Dalmatian specialities. What is important is that there is plenty of cheese seasoned in oil, prosciutto, salty pilchards, as well as red and with wine. All around you, there are perfomances on open stages, throughout the night. One after another, Dalmatian harmony-singing groups are singing.

Well done for this first report. Short but interesting, your photography is great and hope to see more of it. The Fisherman's Night sounds like a very colouful festival - always on 13th of August? |

Thank you for the first travel report. I certainly understand the difficulty regarding writing in English when the language is not your best. Thank you for the effort. You have some nice photos.

Damir,
Congrats on your first report, so good of you to start writing straight away. Nice photos especially the boats in the harbour. Maybe you can add some more information because Croatia is a reletavively unknown destination. That makes your report very valuable.
Here is is help when writing reports, should you need it:
