Took a train all the way from Geneva to Milan and had a great time sitting in the train enjoying beautiful scenary. Mountain, vineyard, big mansions, lake, river but as the train crossed into Italy border, the landscape changed quite drastically.
|
The train station is called Domo Dosso. The train I took was not a bullet train or the speedy train. So it was a bit tiring.Had some difficult time walking around the town, looking for my hotel The people are very dressy and smell so so good, they love being all dressed up,hair nicely combed, suit and all...very different from where I come from! Had pizza near the hotel where I stayed. It's quite near the shopping areas called corso Buenos Aires. bought a lot of things. I bought shoes for myself, for Papa, for Mama, for Ramzee and also some linbgerie as well..Walked around that area at night once and was warned by a shopkeeper to be extra careful with my backpack (the small one I was carrying) cause people can be quite notorious here,as compared to other European countries, I don't know how true it is..Anyway, I slept quite early,to start early the next day.

Favourite spots: |
Centrale Stazione-it's one of the most beautiful building I have ever seen..so huge.. Genova is a nice place,an old town with the European touch..I love it there too

What's really great: |
I like almost everything about Milan, the loud talking people, the crazy rush hour on its busy street, the crazy cab driver, the lovely, almost the best food food in the world, when compared to Penang( hometown) food..and what else, tiramisu... Also the building always have this baby boy suckling to a wolf,as myth states that the baby was taken care by the wolf until he grew up..every other building has that,..look around.. Graffiti here is extremely creative and not at all an eye sore..very colourful and nice...I liked them, noticed them the moment my train crossed the Italian border..

Quite a nice hotelright in the middle of the busy city and easy to go from one spot to another due to it's walking distance to the central Station.
