The seat of Belarus, and the pride of the still Communist government. Actually it is a dreary city, covered in concrete, but if you spend some time there it begins to grow on you like some kind of malignant tumor. Really, I love the place and would go back if I ever had the chance.

Favourite spots: |
There isn't a whole lot to see, but here goes. 1. Muesem of the Great Patriotic War (That's WWII), 2. Uzbekistan Restruant, 3. The Circus, 4. Statutes of Lenin, 5. The Fast and Tasty Hot Dog stands. (I've never seen a hot dog made mostly of fat chunks any where else.)

What's really great: |
The people are friendly in a way that comes only from years of hardship and suffering, and between World Wars, Stalin, and Chernobyl they seem to have had their share.
