The Lagunamar resort, in Pampatar, Venezuela, is one of the most wonderful spots that my wife and I have gone for a vacation. This is an all-inclusive resort, that includes a large beach, a lagoon, 5 restaurants, 9 swimming pools, and 7 bars. Visitors to the resort are able to participate in any nautical activity, as well as tournaments in darts, ping pong, beach volleyball, and dancing. We were able to eat four meals per day, lay out at the beach, relax by the pool, participate in activities, and be entertained for the two weeks that we spent at the resort. Further, I was able to lift weights and take dancing lessons. All of this was encorporated into the all-inclusive aspects of the hotel. In the nearby city of Pampatar was a public beach, a castle that was built in the 1500's, and local artesans. A taxi from the resort could be rented for about $3 (USD). If there were not enough to do at the resort, the nearby city of Porlamar was much larger and had more opportunities.
