Quepos is located on the Pacific coast and it definitly has its own personality. There is so much to do in this area and a good week can be spent here. Beaches are a 6 on a 10 scale, but the hiking makes up for that. The jungles are lush and the wildlife is maybe a 7. But the character of the area is what I like.

Favourite spots: |
Taking the bus over to Manuel Antonio National Park. This has some beautiful beaches and the wildlife is about an 8. We saw whitefaced monkeys everywhere, a few sloths, but the birdlife was disappointing.

What's really great: |
The beach inside the park of Manuel Antonio is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. I would rate it a 9 (mainly because nothing beats Thailand!). Without a doubt, pay the money to go into the park, bring a lunch and enjoy.
