I love this city! From it's windy streets, to it's rich history, to it's beautiful coastline. There is something for everyone, with top-notch art museums, nearby hikes, scenic drives, and incredible food!

The Castro: a great art-deco movie theater. Fisherman's Warf: sure, it's touristy, but there are really cool Dungeness crab stands that you can sit at and watch the ships come in. Vesuvio's: a cool, dark little bar where Kerouac used to down Jack and Cokes City Lights Bookstore: Great independent bookshop, run by Laurence Ferlinghetti--Poet Laureate of SF and a fellow beat writer

Just the feel of the place. The North Beach beach section is the most magical. The vibrations are still running through that place.

Hotel Boheme, a little pricey for me ($125-$175) but, damn that place is cool!

| Hi Janelle, I agree - what a great city! But being a sucker for a sunset, my burning memories include the sight of the sun setting behind the bridge and turning it and the surrounding parks and waters a vibrant gold! |
