Sevilla is Spain's most beautifu lplace. The easyest way to get the feel of this city is - don't laugh - take a tour with one of the many horse & carriages. They slowly take you to most of the interesting sites, enabling you to decide where you want to go later. Go on foot, the place isn't that big. The Giralda, the famous cathedral, is one of the many starting points. Standing with your back to the main entrance cross the plaza, walk into the narrow street, turn right and you are in the Barrio Santa Cruz, a wonderfull old quarter with very narrow streets, lots of bars and shops. Worth a visit certainly is the Parque Maria Luisa, with the fantastic 1929 world fair monument at the Plaze de EspaƱa. Feed the doves, they'll be all over you. The Torrre del Oro is a nautical museum. The La Maestarnza bull ring is Spain's most beautiful. The university was an old tabacco factory: you can still smell it.

Favourite spots: |
Parque Maria Luisa. Barrio Santa Cruz. The Plaza behind the Ayuntamiento (townhall) with all it's bars with pavements.

What's really great: |
The people and the atmosphere. Andalusians are easy going friendly people that don't take life too seriously. And the women! They are the most beautiful in the world.
Sights: |
The Parque Maria Luisa, a wonder of quietness in a busy city.
Accommodations: |
There are many varying in class, but Sevilla is an expensive place re. hotels. Hotel Europa, one street behind the back side of La Giralda is a good and simple one star hotel. The Hotel Becquer is a very good 3-star hotel and at the Nueva Plaza, in front of the townhall is the 4-star Hotel Inglaterra. But there are many many more.

Hangouts: |
The Irish Pub next to La Giralda. Standing with your back to the main entrance of La Giralda, walk into the narrow street, turn right and at your left hand side is a typical Spanish bar, where they chalk up your consumptions on the bar itself.
Restaurants: |
Too many to mention. But I would advise going to a tapas bar (typical spanish snacks) where they have a great varity of small snacks, instead of just one plate.
Other recommendations: |
The shopping centre.
At the Plaza Nueva turn left before the townhall. You'll walk right into it.
