I went to University of Southern Queensland for my study for 9 months. In this short period, I found Toowoomba a really lovely place with warm and caring people. They made my stay very memorable. Toowoomba has not many things to see, but it's up to you to explore. There are many beautiful parks, beautiful gardens, it's peaceful, with nice bus drivers, nice weather, and very careful drivers [I came from a place where people don't follow traffic rules exactly =) ]. I learnt how to do the Bush Dance from a local band who call themselves the Band O Coot. I did the Bush dancing twice ^^

What's really great: |
The people, they are so warm and always ready to help. The place is so calm and is definitely a nice place for study. West street turns purple with the 2 beautiful rows of trees on both sides of the road during spring time.

The Japanese Garden behind USQ is a must see if you visit Toowoomba. It's really beautiful no matter what season it is. You see different types of flowers in different season. It gives you a different feel everytime you visit the place. I love it !!!! The Flower festival in city is also very nice. It happens in Spring time. The city is decorated with loads of colourful blooming flowers. There's also a float parade. Companies, community and different bodies participate in this yearly occasion. There's also a fair at the Queenspark where the parade ends.
