Wadi Rum offers you the opportunity to spend a few days on the beduin life style. You can stay at one of the tents for rent you find at the entrance, 2 dinars per person per night and just take a nice tour inside the wadi or, you can experience a beduin adventure spending a few days inside the wadi...

Favourite spots: |
At Wadi Rum you'll find from prehistoric paintings to strange sandstone formations, red sand dunes and lots of real beduin people riding on camels. Something I really liked was a big formation, The Bridge, it's formed of white sandstone and if you want a pic on the top, you have to find the best way to climb it.

What's really great: |
What can you do in the middle of the dessert? sleep on the top of a sand dune, admire the full moon with millions of stars, walk through the sand dunes and creeks, sit on the top of a big rock and enjoy the sunset, prepare beduin tea, listen to silence. I found my self again in Wadi rum. Considering that you pay the camp owner to take you inside the wadi, let you sleep on his tent, give you some vegetables to eat and promise to be there in 3 days to take you back to the entrance (yes, promise, in the middle of the dessert you are not sure if he is really coming back) and stay there by yourself, well this is what I call an adventure.

Sights: |
Sunrise and sunset are amazing.
Accommodations: |
Actually, you just have to find a friendly beduin who rents his tent and that's it. 20 dinars per person for 3 days.
Hangouts: |
If you can play guitar, you'll have a pub in your tent.
Restaurants: |
Be prepared to make a bonfire, take some vegetables (potatos are the most common) and pita bread. Please don't forget looots of water.
Other recommendations: |
Everywhere you look, you find a something beautiful, but please climb a rock, you'll discover how impressive is this red dessert.
