Ottawa the capital of Canada is about a 4-5 hour drive from Toronto and cost around C$100, by the Greyhound etc.
The centre of Ottawa is very quaint with many historic buildings, including the Parliament building and the Chateau Laurier Hotel etc, both located by the river. It’s really picturesque part of the city.
Things to do include going to Byward Market on Sussex Drive, there are also many galleries there.
The National Arts Centre, the National Gallery of Canada, Canadian Museum of Contemporary Photography, should be visited as well as the Museum of Civilisation which is just across the river.
And on Elgin Street, many restaurants, bars and pubs can be found. [edit text][editors]
