It can be difficult to determine whether to call a place a pub, a restaurant or accommodation. This is all three, though I have only used it in the first capacity. My wife [then fiancée] took me there to relax the day before my final exams at Oxford and we sat or lay by the river. The pub is isolated and situated near New Bridge [which you are correct in guessing to be one of the oldest Thames crossings - this is England after all!].
