David, if you logon from the homepage you get a useful list of activity since your last log-off (not shown if you login from any other GLOBOpage).

Thorsten, I also use the map (now under "Guides" as Martin reminded us) regularly rather than place-name search to explore our virtual globe. Andy, perhaps you could add another link to the clickable map under the "more" list.

In the far future perhaps we could have a "map" section showing:

- the clickable map

- map showing countries or states we have visited (not only reports)

- in partnership with www.flightmemory.com showing our flights

- map showing our intended 10-year travel plans

Andy, that mosaic of random member snaps was brilliant, format/rows whatever you like.

I just wonder; Are new members no longer shown in the 24h update? It was quite useful to have the new names because I always had a look if there were any new Dutch memebers so that I could send them a message.

I just saw a new member but the country and city where the new member lives is no longer shown. I think it dimimishes true 'internationality' of Globo. I always liked to see where people were from. Knowing this makes it easier to contact new members.

Rudi: The mosaic might have been nice, but not a good solution. Like explained it is a matter of space available. The main reason however is, that each loading of the page has been delayed as image integration is a extrem downsizer on performance. Not only for your computer and the transprotation, but also for the server. One server has to reserve about 20MB space for each pic to show. Adding 15 more per page would slower down the whole site. As a replacement the homepage now shows 8 Memberpictures, which is as I believe the better solution.

Marianne: That is a known error which has to be fixed. Please read my other posting inside the dev log forum. That is a tricky one to fix. I am working on it.

Sorry, Andy, I read your other post, but must have misread it.

You have really been working hard, enjoy your weekend.
