Climbing up the Half Dome Cables's by eirekay

Yosemite National Park - United States, California Our group has started up (Green Shirts) the cables. I took one last shot before grabbing on right behind my daughter. It took us 41 minutes to climb on a Saturday, the busiest day of the week for the cables. You can climb them in 15 - 20 minutes if you go on a week day or early in the morning, but just try to get 19 women going early in the morning.... To prepared for Half Dome, you need to strengthen your arms. The tension of holding the cables while you stand in place is exhausting. There are four major breaks in the rock which you will need to lift yourself up primarily on the strength of your arms.
