Lake Manasarovar - China, Tibet Lake Manasarovar lies at 4572 metres. The lake has got a circumference of 90Km. The Lake is known as Mapham Tso to the Tibetans. Mapham means “unconquered” together with Mt Kailash; the lake is sacred and is a pilgrimage site. The ashes of Mahatma Gandhi were scattered here.
