Hugh, the castle is beautifully presented on a background of yellow flowers.

Great photo, Hugh! Out centred stunning structure in the top third dividing the gaudy rape yellow and the nice sky blue. I also like the road perspectively leading to the building through the picture. (Sorry for my English!)

Thank you both very kindly for your nice compliments.
And to you Petra I say what a wonderful in-depth interpretation of the proportions and colour relationships.
I fear there was no expert realisation on my part of such factors - I was just stunned by the colour when i drove the car round the bend and there it was!!
There is another interesting little aspect in the tiny black dot on the white cloud above the turret. I will presently post an enlargement - It is a hovering hawk being harassed by a small bird.

This is a lovely picture. Such simple flowers but how beautiful

Thank you Amanda. In addition to their simple beauty and energy rich seeds these are a rich source of honey for the bees!

Wow Hugh, now THOSE are pretty flowers that I like very much :-) ***** A pitty the image was cropped into a square, was it a Polaroid camera? ;-)))

Thank you Rudolf for your very kind words and rating.
When taking the picture I tilted the camera slightly so it was necessary to straighten the image and I cropped it to eliminate the resulting white area arising from the tilt. At the same time I decided to eliminate a tree on the left which I felt was a distraction.
I have posted the image with minimum cropping on
http://www.allexperts.com/user.cgi?m=17&imgID=99612
and I take your point that the proportions are more pleasing.
