How tall is that mountain?

Yes a fine capture, Hugh.

Hi all thank you for interest and nice comments.
Dear Fred, the mountain is 2,610 feet (766 meters) above sea-level at the left hand summit. The camera is on a hill about 800 feet say 250 meters.
The deep cleft is the first tumbling waters of the river Burrin which joins with the river barrow forming the nucleus a round which the town of Carlow has grown up since at least Bronze age times.

Thank You for that info, Hugh. I have yet to venture as far south as Carlow but your pics are convincing me. :)
